SCIENCE LAB

A good knowledge of lab safety is essential for our students to perform practical work in the laboratory. Students love doing it and have the potential to learn a great deal, but safety must come first. It’s an effective way to teach the principles of scientific inquiry, develop student skills in measurement and observation, and motivate and engage students. A good first step is ensuring that any practical activities are properly and thoroughly risk-assessed by the teacher before the activity. Teachers should conduct experiments or demonstrations before the lesson to understand any risks. Consult colleagues; if they have performed similar practices before, be aware of any points of similar danger.

When practicing practical work, make a list of any equipment or activities that could be potentially dangerous and think about how you can make it safer for your students. There are many strategies and pieces of equipment that can be used to minimize potential harm to students. If there are no strategies that can adequately reduce this risk, you should not allow students to complete the activity. Alternatively, proceed with a hands-on demonstration, use a computer simulation, or use a video. Here are some strategies and ideas you can use for students to take an active role in managing their safety and the safety of others, both inside and outside the lab. It is important to train students to be good, careful, safe scientists before they even enter the lab. Students should not enter the lab without a member of staff present. Students should be aware of themselves and each other at all times.

GTL – LAB

Our school’s Mathematics Lab is a place where learing becomes fun and practical. it is equipped with various models, charts, and interactive tools that helps students understand complex mathematicalconcepts through hands-on-activities. The lab encourage curisoity , logical thinking and creativity, allowing students to explore mathematicals beyond textbooks .It truly makes learning math an enjoyable and meaningful experience.
